Senior product designer building software people don't quite remember using — because it just worked. Eight years across consumer mobile and B2B SaaS. Most recently led the design system rewrite at a payments company that shipped to 300+ engineers and cut new-feature design time in half. Equal parts taste, system thinking, and the willingness to sit in a usability session for the third hour straight.
Experience 4 ROLES
Owning the design system across web and mobile — from foundations through to the components every product team builds on. Drove the system rewrite from a brittle Figma library into a versioned, tokenised system shipped via NPM. Reduced design-to-PR time by ~40% across the engineering org. Also leading the redesign of the merchant onboarding flow, currently in A/B test against the legacy version.Design systemsTokensWeb + iOSCross-functionalA/B testing
Shipped the cycles feature, redesigned the issue editor, and rebuilt the keyboard-shortcut model. Worked directly with engineering — prototypes in code, not in Figma. Cycles is now the default planning model for 30k+ Linear teams and the pattern most product-led companies have since copied.IC designKeyboard-firstPrototypingShipped Cycles
Joined during the original team's rebuild. Owned the new app icons, the marketing site re-skin, and the onboarding redesign that lifted activation by 18 percentage points. Learned how to ship by watching the founders ship.OnboardingBrand + ProductActivation +18pp
Two years at an agency to learn the craft from people who do it for a living. Worked on Nike, Old Spice, and a launch campaign for a household-name fintech. Left because I missed shipping.AgencyCampaignCraft training

Design SystemsTokens · Components · Docs
+Building scalable systems from primitives. Owned the migration from monolithic libraries to versioned, tokenised systems shipped as NPM packages. Comfortable owning the relationship with platform engineering.
PrototypingFigma · Code · Framer
+Working prototypes beat static mocks. Comfortable building in React, Framer Motion, and the occasional WebGL experiment when the brief calls for it. Prototyped Linear's Cycles in code before it got committed to Figma.
User ResearchInterviews · Usability · Diary
+Lightweight, continuous research baked into the sprint cycle. Not a separate team handing you a 60-page deck. Run 5–8 sessions a quarter myself.
Visual DesignTypography · Colour · Motion
+The craft layer — typography, restraint, motion that supports comprehension rather than performs. Trained in print at an agency before I touched a Figma file.
IconographyOutline · Filled · Animated
+Drew Linear's keyboard-shortcut iconography and Ledgerline's full transaction-status set. Comfortable in both vector and motion.
ToolingFigma · GitHub · Notion
+Figma daily, but increasingly working directly in code. Comfortable opening PRs, writing CSS, reviewing engineer work for design fidelity.

Led the full rewrite of the company's internal design system. Migrated from a brittle Figma-only library into a versioned, tokenised system shipped as an NPM package. Design-to-PR time fell by ~40% across the engineering org. The work is now the model the platform team uses for any cross-cutting initiative.
Co-designed the Cycles feature with engineering — the loop that turned Linear from a fast issue tracker into a planning tool. Cycles became the default model in Linear and the pattern most product-led teams now copy.
Owned the redesign of the first-run experience. New users now meet a real template rather than a blank canvas. Activation lifted by 18 percentage points in the cohort study and the framework is still in use today.
Mentor on Adplist for two years. Over a hundred 1:1 sessions with early-career designers, portfolio reviews, career-change conversations. Average rating 4.96.
